I have an analog camcorder and Im capturing using my Studio AV/DV card. Because it is composite of course the video seems noisy and I really want to up the look of the video before making dvd-r's of the family videos. Can you guys suggest any way that I can improve the quality of my captured analog video? Unfortunatly my video camera does not have an s-video out just composite.
I picked up some gold tipped decent (thicker than normal) cables also.

There are also filters that can help you to adjust the brightness/contrast and color saturation etc.
Check out the official websites of VirtualDub and AviSynth on links to filters you can use.
