m2v is the format IfoEdit uses with mpa to make the VOBs for its DVDs. Maybe you should give it a try?

  3. Just did a search on music video in emule. All the video are in mpg.mpeg or avi format, never in m2v format. Are you sure? They are probably not dvd compliant. You have to encode them first before importing them into TMGPDVD

M2V is traditionally an Elementary stream MPEG video , and
as such it will not have an audio stream in it

  5. Borley1863,

"mp2v" is the video portion of a MPEG2 file. Some authoring program, such as DVDLab will automatically demultiplex an MPEG2 file to a video portion (i.e. mp2v) and an audio portion (i.e. mpa, ac3, mp2, etc.), and multiplex it back when generating the VOB file.

Sometimes, you would want re-encode the video portion of a file separately, and so you use apps such as TMPGEnc and re-encode the "mp2v" part, and re-encode the audio part using other apps such as HeadAC3he.

  7. GOP is your structure of the MPEG2 video. # of B frames, I frames, P frames.
It has to meet certain rules to be compliant with DVD.
If it is made wrong, the only way to fix it is to re-encode the video. With a program such as TMPGEnc.
