Should I just get the retail fan, or another brand? If another brand, what do you recommend? Thanks.

If your not going to overclock...get the retail heat sink and fan. It is very quiet compared to many of the other coolers, and does a plenty good job. Plus if you buy your chip retail box, your going to get a long warranty from Intel which you wont get buying an OEM (bare) chip.

i would suggest a different brand of fan. i am currently using the intel fan, and my cpu recurrently overheats, so i am getting a different brand of fan.
anyway, what do intel really know about fan and heatsinks? they make processors and various other hardware devices, whilst companies like coolermaster have a whole business built on cooling peripherals.
