    Can someone please help
    Is there a speed issue with the OEM version of the sony DW-U10A
    writing at 4 speed to 4 speed media

    I have two writers one the pioneer A05 and that will burn 4.3 gb of data to a 4 speed disk in 15 minutes.
    I have tried all types of media in the sony drive and it always takes half an hour to burn the same
    ? has anyone else experienced the same

    I had the same problem, upgraded the firmware and it's now writing at 4x on all media I've used. Best media to date is the V2's Datawrite Reds.
