  1. Hi all!
I used to cut with tmpeg without a problem. I recorded from sat with WinDVD Recoder in DVD MOG2 and mp2 audio.
Now I recorded in exactly the same way, but in stead of mp2 audio I used ac3 audio.
And with these files I have no video when I want to edit the file with tmpeg. (There is video when I play the file with WinDVD recorder, but also not when I play the file with Windows Mediaplayer)
Am I missing something like a certain codec? Any idea whay could be the problem?
I could record again in mp2 audio and then transcode to ac3, but I gues that means losing quality on audio.

I'm reaching into the far recesses of my tiny mind here (and it's not a lot of help), but I seem to remember readng TMPGEnc can't work with ac3.

There was a thread recently about AC3 and Tmpgenc.

    Maybe that'll help a bit. :c)
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

  4. Thanks for your replies people!
In some kind of way TMPEG is now having a preview of the file and I can even cut it. But when I hit "run" it says it is muxung the videostream, and there is nothing about audio. So the ready cut product has only a video stream and no audio at all anymore.
I think TMPEG can demux the file with m2v and ac3, but is no more then that.
IS there a program out there somewhere that can edit a demuxed movie with an ac3 audio file?
