Well you left out the most important information to helping us to help you. Your burning program and the process (AUDIO_TS folder/VIDEO_TS Folder etc.). Are you using Nero 5/6, Record Now ? What media and is your DVD Player on the compatibility list to the left?

Just a wild guess here. If you are using DVDShrink only for backups when you don't need compression, you might still be trying to burn more than will fit onto a DVD+/-R. Although recordable DVDs are advertised as 4.7G, this does not equate to 4,700 MBytes. Don't forget, that there are 1024 bytes in a kilobyte - not 1000. This is why the capacity of a recordable DVD is 4.7 billion bytes or actually 4.37 GB. But DVDShrink shows you via a red bar when you have exceeded the true capacity and your burning software should do the same.

What burning software are you using and what make/model of DVD burner? There are issues with some of the Pioneers where they make coasters some of the time.

Accesscard. Yes, more information is needed. What type of ripper do you use? The ripper in Shrink? I always use Smart Ripper or DVD Decrypter. Of course, use the "files" mode and select ALL files. Shrink 3.0 beta 5 is great because it has automatic and ratio transcoding. Like DVD2One, it now comes out to the perfect size. Shink however is much more versitile. With 3.0, open the ripped files on the hard drive. Open the main movie folder in the DVD structure. Click on reautor and a new window will pop up. Drag the main movie file (title) from the first window to the second window under the "New DVD" folder. Under streams use automatic compression and select the audio and subpicture options you want. Then select backup. If you do not already know, you must backup the files to a folder named VIDEO_TS. ALL CAPS. When you burn the disk, YOU MUST have both the VIDEO_TS folder and a blank AUDIO_TS folder. Where you go from here depends on the software you use to burn. In nero use the UDF/ISO mode. I use Record Now, and you just drag and drop with that. Hope this helps. [/b]

edit: ps check out the media reports to the left. This could be a media problem.
You create your own reality. Interested in media servers and HTPC? Can we talk?

All excellent advice, but you can drag and drop with nero smart start, and it automatically creates both audio and vido folders as well.

Yes aero we know this, but with all the possibilities one has to start at the basic level. No post back so I guess its not a priority.

  7. Thank you for everyone advise ,, and sorry for the lack of information.... I finally found out the problem.

the problem is that DVD Shrink is not good with Decrypting.....

I reburned it with DVD Decryptor. and it worked fine,,,,,
I reburned 3 using dvd decryptor and it work fine....

I think it is too late to find out the problem after backing up 12 movies.....

now here is another question,,,, can I decrypt the DVD Disc??? I don't feel like throwing 12 Discs which is about 24$ out of my pocket.
Is it possible to decrypt it the DISC ???

DVD Shrink is fine for decrypting. I use this program daily. Your problem lies elsewhere. Decrypt a disc that doesn't play. Have you tried?

Well if it is a back-up and you want to recover the information. Burn an ISO image of it using the ISO Read and Write functions under the mode drop down in DVD Decrypter.
