  1. Hi All,

Could you please help. I have an MPEG file, which always fails when I try to encode. I have tried to run it through VirtualDub but it throws the file out instantly. Is there any software out there (like DIVFix) that I can use to detect and repair/remove bad frames?

    Many Thanks In Advance

  2. Try opening it in dvd2avi and use this to frameserve it to Tmpgenc.

  3. Thanks for the info, never used DVD2Avi before, is it straight forward or should I seek a guide?

    Many Thanks

  4. Just tried DVD2AVI but it doesn't recognise the file, only MPEG2, MP2, VOB. Trouble is, I can't get anything to load the file to be able to convert it.

    Thanks

    Hmm, must be mpeg-1 then.

  6. TMPGEnc does open the file and has started to encode. My fear is, like some previous files I have used, it fails halfway through. As you know, that could mean wasting four + hours to find out if it's any good. For now I will just stick with it and see if it's ok.

    Thanks For All Your Help
