    When using my 440N in Nero 6.x, it gives the Max write speed as 2X. I have 4X media and have been searching for an answer to this for a while. I am using Win XP Pro with an 1800+ AMD.

    I have already updated the Firmware, and checked both Nero and TDK sites for answers. Please Help. This is very frustrating.

    hmmm That's weird. I also have the TDK440N burner and Nero 6.0.0.15 and burn with no problems at all with 2X and 4X media. The firmware for me TDK is 1.06. You might want to check the firmware on your burner and update it.
