    I have an xvid film that I want to put onto DVD.

    I am using Mainconcept 1.4 but although the film is in 16.9 it keeps recoding at 4:3, anyone have any idea why.

    Did you select Aspect Ratio 16:9? (I'm guessing 1.4 has it, 1.3 definitely has). Have you played it in Power DVD or similar? Or on your standalone?

    Found that after I posted the message, cheers anyway mate.

    Just trying it now burning a clip to a DVD+RW disc to test it.
