  1. Hello!

I have a relatively recent version of TMPGEnc. I use it with Matrox RT2000 and Premiere 6.0. In my version I cant encode to SVCD because the program states that it is not supported. I tried downloading SVCD templates but it doesn´t help. In version 2.0 there it is possible to encode to SVCD for one month.

Now to the question: Is it possible to download a version somewhere that supports MPEG 2 SVCD encoding? Any other workaround?

Possible to encode to SVCD format via Premier and/or the RT2000?

I would be very greatful for any help on this topic!

    Best regards!

You can get a mpeg2(svcd) plugin for premiere like lsx. But you can also use premiere and tmpgenc using a frameserver read here http://www.vcdhelp.com/premiereavisynth.htm

  3. Hello Baldrick, and thanks for your reply!

Is it nolonger possible to make TMPGEnc to encode to MPEG 2?
Or is there a way to bypass the program so it will accept the SVCD templates and thereby encode to MPEG2 that will be compliant with the SVCD format??? My problem is that my version of TMPGEnc only accapts encoding to MPEG 1 VCD.

    Best regards!

  4. hello to make you use TMPGenc for more than 30 days.
    Do this.
    open Notepad type in this.

    REGEDIT4

    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]

then save it as an *.reg then run the file.
run this file once per 30 day.

If you had used the SEARCH, you could have found the following information:

You can reset the MPEG-2 trial period of TMPGEnc by deleting the following registry key:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}

How to make this very easy: create a file TMPGEnc_MPEG2_reset.reg, with the following content, and double click this file from windows explorer:

    REGEDIT4
; Double click on this file from Explorer to automatically
    ; enable TMPGEnc's MPEG-2 encoder for 30 more days.
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]

Edit: Mozo was a little faster...
