I can not offer advice to printing with your current disk caddy, but I might offer some help on the printer part.

If you have photoshop, make a project that is about 12cm (5inches) square. Just throw any artwork onto it. Then print it to paper, several times. Comare the papers and see if the artwork is in the same spot each time. It should be roughly cetered and in the EXACT same spot for all papers. If it is, then the printer is working correctly, if not your printer is buggered. Now if it is, you might be able to change the paper size to match the width of your caddy, and then decide how long that custom size must be to make the "disk" print to your caddy. Or you can make a new caddy to work with photoshop using either of the printer guides in my signature. The key to this success is that Photoshop always prints to the center of the given paper size, unless you tell it different. To me making a custom caddy seems like it is easiest and most reliable, but that might just be me.

From the few pictures that I can find, the 950 caddy is about 6.5 inches wide (about 168mm) and the disk seems to be centered across the width. It also looks like it should have the same "vertical" center as a piece of letter sized (A4) paper. I don't have one of these caddies, or even a scan of one so I can't confirm theses speculations. Can you scan your caddy for me? Something like 100-200dpi so I can measure it. I could PM you an email address to send it to me.

A side note, the 900 caddy continues to confound me, it makes no sense, especially since I don't have that printer either.

A post from Galactica has a link for the photoshop template and instructions from Epson. You might want to check it out.

  4. I have a epson 900 and have no trouble with it printing the covers in the right place every time on the disk. Use the software supplied by epson (print cd) and alway put the caddy in the same place in the printer. Edge of white line only just showing from under the wheels.
    Not bothered by small problems...
