  1. Help. I am true Nembie to DVD Authoring. I have been trying different Authoring software. I Like Tmpgnec and would buy it if I figure out this audio problem. I captured MPEG2 with an AIW 9700 Pro. I imported the files into Tmpgenc DVD Author. I edited and burned to a DVD+rw,( dvd+rw have worked in my Toshiba before with Studio 8 software). When I use my Toshiba DVD Player the video looks fine but I have no Audio. I have a second cheap DVD Player and the DVD works fine on that player. THe DVD does play on different computers audio and video are perfect . What is up with this Toshiba DVD Player? Should I do something different?

  2. TmpGenc DVD author will leave the audio as mp2 format, how it was encoded when it was captured. I don't know for certain but it is possible that Studio 8 converted it to PCM (uncompressed). Mp2 audio is not supported by all DVD players, especially in NTSC using areas, so that may be why your Toshiba can't play it. Try converting the audio to PCM before authoring with TmpGenc.
