  1. I have a Sony DVP-S360. I just recently tried to use it with my Sony surround reciever.

I can't get a Dobly Digital signal with either Digital Coaxile or Fiber Optic. I just get a 2 channel PCM signal. I'm testing with Star Wars Episode II and Mission Impossible, and I know my reviever's good because i get Dolby Digital from my XBOX (optical) and my digital cable (coaxile).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't there some sort of sound options menu for that dvd player where you have to specify your output type?

    Check that out.

yup, seabrick is right. usually there is a menu on your dvd player where you can select what type of audio you want to go out. stereo/digital/all ... just select all (if its there) and you should be fine.
