When using dvdshrink I am confused as to which audio files to omit when trying to compress a movie to fit on one dvd. I realize what the french, spanish, etc. are but what does AC3 6-ch and AC3 2-ch mean. I see on some movies where there are both for each language. Some even look like they might be duplicates by their file size. What can be kept and what can be discarded. Thanks..........

First time I did it I choose 2ch and all I got was background music, no talking. All 6 would be all the sounds in the movie, even the talking.
Good luck. -
2ch can be the movie soundtrack, audio commintary, music only, put the DVD in a player 1st to see what audio is on the DVD, they usually go in the same order on the DVD as it will in Shrink.

I thought 2ch would be the two channels that would be used by your regular tv set with it's two speakers. 6ch would be the 6 channels used in a home theater set up.
When I backed up LOTR I eliminated the 6ch and only realized later that I would be dissapointed in the future if I get a home theater system and am stuck with just 2 channels.
