* Adobe Encore is a DVD Authoring Application.
* Import your files
* Export your >700Mb (structured for DVD - "vob set")
* Burn to CD as a MiniDVD https://www.videohelp.com/minidvd.htm

Read the Fu*king Manual
Just build the DVD to hard drive
Then burn with another program
The only thing is you'll have to watch carefull as you build - or - wait till its built to make sure it fits!
ps make sure when you burn to CD later..you use UDF file system to give
the project a DVD VOLUME quality -
...and keep in mind that not many DVD players can spin a CD fast enough to get data at DVD bitrates.

Adobe Encore is a 'wet dream' i don't know how it authors - I use DVDLab but the principles remain the same. There must be an "author" or "make DVD" function in Encore, use it to make the files for the DVD structure.
Once done simply burn it on the CD - a link provided is for nero - the principles remain for other burning app's - AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS (video files into the VIDEO_TS)
https://www.videohelp.com/nerodvd.htm
As mentioned earlier ,due to the "data extraction" speeds of CD compared to DVD your player my choke on high bitrates - IF it reads miniDVD at all !

According to this link you should have a DVD Writer.
Unfortunately I dont have it yet. That bring me to the question, if it possible to burn the MPEG2 on a CD burnt in by CD Writer?
Thanks -
You can burn DVD formated VOB/IFO files to a CDR, this is known as miniDVD or cDVD. The problem is that VERY few standalones can play cDVD discs. You're better off authoring VCD/CVD/SVCD.
Authoring is not the same as burning. You can burn anything to anything (it might not work mind you). Encore just authors, if the VIDEO_TS folder is less than 700MB you can burn it to a CDR, but again very few standalones will be able to play it.
