    Hi!
I have been trying to rip and convert the Disney movie Atlantis. After ripping with DVD Decrypter 3.1.6.0 I then try to convert the 7.89 GB folder with Dvd2One 1.2.3. Using the default value of 4472 MB I end up with a Video_ts folder of 4702 MB according to Nero. When I reduce the default size to 4372 MB, I get a folder that is 4694 MB big and still too big for Nero. I even reduced the default size to 4072 GB and I still get a folder of 4693 MB. So, what am I doing wrong? For some reason the files are not being reduced enough. Other films have been no problem. I am using the variable compression mode and full disc function.

  2. A suggestion: after converting, run the Video_ts folder that is too big again in DVD2One. Maybe this will work.

Admittingly I don't know the answer but maybe try it with the CONSTANT option VS the VARIABLE option.

Also I generally set the size to 4350 ... going higher than that can (I stress can as in a possibility not a certainty) cause playback problems due to filling up the DVD recordable just a bit too close to 100% MAX size.

  4. Hi all.

younso, you could also try DVD Shrink v3.0 beta 5.
It might be able to handle this title better.

  5. These are the correct blank sizes
    DVD-R 4,489MB 4,706,074,624 bytes or 4.383GB
    DVD+R 4,483MB 4,700,372,992 bytes or 4.377GB

Setting the size to 4472MB should be fine

However there must be a bug in DVD2one 1.2.3 because it always creates larger files than its set at variable bitrate.

  6. Yeah it is a prob with Dvd2one, but they fixed it in the new version (1.30)

"Fixed a small problem in the compression ratio calculation, which could affect the destination size estimation of the variable ratio mode"
