  1. Hi, im having a problem with an xvid file when converting it to VCD 1 Disk, the file is 1hr 36mins, and the calculated bitrate was 993 and audio at 44100/128kbps. i converted the file but the file size always comes out at around 960mb, and it wont fit on an 80min CD. Any ideas why the file output is always high? ive done plenty of 1 Disk VCDs before and only encountered the problem once.

    Thanks

    Dean.

  2. In TmpGenc, in the settings dialog box, you must set the stream type to MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard). If you don't, TmpGenc will pad the bitrate back to 1150. Beware though, some versions of Tmpgenc (and I forget which exactly) have a bug that ignores this setting and pads the bitrate anyway.

  3. Hi, cheers for the reply, i was aware of the non-standard part anyway so i guess my version must have a bug in it. i think its version 2.59.47.155

  4. Why not try KVCD templates. I use this templates and have better quality then the standard tmpgenc templates. And all on 1 disk

  5. I stand with Trenchy KDVD 4ever you cant beat Kwag's templates ... you can squeeze 3 hour movies onto one cd-r.

your 90 min movie should look good w/ a VBR between 400 and 900 ...use a bitrate calculator to be exact

    happy encoding
