I recently purchased a LG Home Threatre system. I purchased a few DVD's from a street vendor, mainly eastern languages. When I played a few of the DVD's, the tracks usually skip and sometimes does not play at all. This DVD will work perfectly on my notebook. Is this a problem with my DVD player? or the DVD's I purchased? Please assist.

i take it that the discs there on are -R format.
although the 5620,and 5630 systems will play -R discs.
if its the cheap media(which it probably is),then there really picky.
i use verbatim,or infiniti dvd-R discs on mine, and there fine, but datawrite, bulkpaq, and other mediocre media are a real problem with skipping and pausing.
these players are better off playing +R discs..not had one problem with any of these, even on the cheap media.
