Have recently purchased two Sony XBR LCDs. A 26" XBR1 & 32"XBR2.
Tried to Tune-Up both LCDs with Sound & Vision's Home Theatre Tune-Up DVD, however, neither XBR has an adjustment which allows me to change "contrast.
The XBR manuals indicate the "color temperature" adjusts the contrast, however, when I tried to adjust it, it had no effect on the screen calibration from the DVD.![]()

My old Sony CRT uses the terms Picture and Bright. Picuture is the contrast (or white level) control, Bright is the black level control.
Color temperature does not control either the brightness or the contrast. High temperature settings will give the overall picture a bluish cast, low will give a reddish cast. -
EDIT - NEVER MIND.....
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
