I took some DV footage while on a trip last weekend, but due to my wild panning and zoom methods I need to slow the film down a bit. Are there programs that can do this? I'm hoping to improve my filming in the near future so a freeware or trial will be suitable. Thanks.

Thanks, I use virtual dub but have never seen anything about slow motion. Can you be more specific? Maybe they are using a term I am not familiar with.

you can decimate frames or change the frame rate -- that is one (2) ways of slow motion ... a better way is to undersample the frames (vegas can do this very well, so can adobe express ) for smoother motion (re-creates new frames) , there are also some very expensive products that can do very precise slow motion .... they have to interpolate new frames also ...

I know Video Studio 7 has slow motion. And using AviSynth through Virtual Dub can also use slow motion. Guide.

Thanks guys, it didn't look good trying to slow it down, so I changed the audio to 'the William Tell Overture" Now it looks as if it's meant to be like that.
