  1. Okay, I'm trying to use Nero to burn a VCD from a bin and cue file. I'm selecting Burn Image, selecting my .cue file, selecting a write speed of 2x, and it burns through just fine. Problem is VCD software dosen't even recognize it, and stand alone player gets a few seconds into it then skips in one spot like a broken record.

I figure I'm missing something, it's happened with two different bin/cue file attempts...

    Bueller?

Nero does not burn bins 100% correct so try another software like cdrwin, fireburner, cdrdao. http://www.vcdhelp.com/burnbin.htm

  3. Or you could use CDmage to extract mpeg and then use Nero to burn

  4. I think the problem was in the crap burner I was trying to use. I picked up a new Sony 16x10x40x burner yesterday that actually supports DAO.

Now the new problem is a bug in the latest version of Nero (5.5.5.1). Seems when you go to burn an image from the .cue file, nero calculates the size of *each* track to be the size of the .bin file, which results in Nero not allowing you to burn due to "lack of space on medium".

My previous version of Nero (on a different machine) calculated them correctly, but I no longer have the upgrade installer...

    Cute huh?...

  5. Well give me a dope slap...

I followed the directions on Goldenhawk's CDRWin install page, loaded the ASPI drivers for Win2k and everything worked out okay.

Thanks to all for your help.
