  1. I'm new to dvd's so this is probably going to make me look stupid but i've got an avi film which I want to put onto dvd. How do I do it?

    Believe it or not, it really is that simple. After you encode it to MPEG-2, you may want to send it through a DVD Authoring program of your choice and then burn with nero.

  9. hello can you help answer 2 questions:

    1.
    what is an authoring program ?
    is that like Dr DivX or is Dr DivX the same as TMPGEnc

    2.
    if i have to split the file to fit it on to two disks - do i do this before i encode or afterwards or doesn't it matter ?
