when I try to rip a specific DVD , after a while it says " i/o error " and stops working, whether i use dvd shrink or dvd decrypter.
with other disks, it works all right .
Any idea about what to do???

Well, something to do with that disk.
Look at the recording (data) surface. Visually check for dirt or scratches.
If it's dirty, clean it. If it is scratched, clean it again - it helps. Minor scratches can be corrected. Major ones cannot.
Also, with DVDDecrypter, you can go to options and increase the number of bad reads before it aborts. Usually it is able to recover - unless the disk is too damaged.
Having DVDs die on us is why we back-them up.The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
