  1. My problem seems to be most authoring programs want to re-convert this for some reason... Is there any way of burning an mpeg2 video file to DVD without having to convert it to 29.97fps or 25fps?

    Thanks.

    NTSC (NTSC Film)
    Video:
    Up to 9.8 Mbit/sec MPEG2 or up to 1.856 MBit/sec MPEG1 video
    720 x 480 pixels MPEG2
    704 x 480 pixels MPEG2
352 x 480 pixels MPEG2 (Same as the CVD Standard)
    352 x 240 pixels MPEG2
352 x 240 pixels MPEG1 (Same as the VCD Standard)
    29,97 fps (frames/second)
23,976 fps with 2:3 pulldown (NTSC Film, this is only supported by MPEG2 video)
It seems that you have a compliant file.

  3. I tend to agree, but I use DVD Workshop 1.3 SE, and it wants to re-convert it... it obviously won't accept 23.976fps movies.

  4. Load it into tmpgenc select ntsc 29.97, 3:2 pulldown will automatically be selected. Convert, your file is now compliant.

  5. or use pulldown.exe to add the 3:2 pulldown flags to your elementary video stream. No re-conversion necessary.
