just finished encodeing.what now?

ive just finshed converting avi into dvd with dvd2svcd.
ive just tried putting it in shrink dvd but it wouldnt take the converted avi as it has not got the dvd files in it yet.which is the best way to deal with this problem?
some advice would be recived much gratefully.

Author to dvd(make vob files and optional menus and chapters):

Tmpgenc dvd author is very simple to use or dvd-lab if you want to make more advanced menus and such.
