    Hi ev'body!

Does anyone understand the preview function of ffmpegX?

    An example:
    My movie is 124 minutes.

If I use the preview function and enter 90 min 00 sec, mplayer opens / previews the movie and tells me: 2 hours 2 min 10 sec... which obiously is more than 90 min...!

Why is that? To find a particular moment of the movie, let's say the middle (im minutes), it's just trial and error...

    Where is (my?) mistake?

  2. Preview parameters are directly sent to mplayer.

mplayer is normally accurate in finding the right point in the movie, unless the movie has a broken index or indexing problems.

In such case you can try to rebuild the source file index (if AVI) by using the Fix tool, or by demuxing/remuxing (if MPG).
