  1. Can you add music to the backgrounds using a simple wav file or such? If so, how? Thanks.

  2. TmpgDVD does not allow sound in the background but Ulead Movie Factory does. You can try that. However it allows an mpeg file to use as a background, therefore you can get motion and sound.Isn't that wonderful!!!But... there is always a big BUT!!, you have to loop the video or else after a while when the video finished it stays there!! As to how.. I am still learning... maybe some one can give a how-to or you can experiment.

  3. I created a small clip in pinnacle 8 that had music.

T.DVD Author can then use that as a motion background with music. But youre right you cant do it all from within T.DVDAuthor. Pity as this is such a simple tool to use

  4. I haven't tried it, but it was my thought while reading the help files about motion menu's you could use an mpeg clip from your movie or some other file for back ground. Seems to me if you use an mpeg, then you would have sound.

So if you want to have a plain background with sound, make a mpeg of a still image add sound to it, then you have sound, but no video

Always some way to skin a cat!

  6. OK, I did my first motion menu yesterday, couldn't get to the site so I HAD to do somethng

Tmpgenc DVD author, Under the menu section go into settings, Not sure the botton name but it's ther in plain site.

Look for motion menu settings. Select what you want, time in time to run the motion, I did 10 seconds, mine loops to play over and over.

Close the settings box, click the back ground. It pops open a box to choose image. Search for Mpeg file you wan to use. I usae the movie I was making.

Here I am confused (even more), once you choose the mpg and open it you have the preview box. I think you just slide the bar to where you want the menu clip to start, then you click open file or save?

Anyway, I was going to do a motion menu for a cartoon for the kid. I got confused on exactly what I wanted to do and decided to skip it.
I Authored my DVD and to my SURPRISE I had the motion menu I wanted!!!!

Program is so easy to use, if you don't know what you want to do, it will figure it out for you

Actually, I guess I did what I wanted, But I was a bit confused how to select the clip I wanted to play, out of the whole movie I only wanted 10 seconds. I got it!

What I was expecting was a preview box with a button to select start frame and end frames. Looks more like you just slide the bar to the starting point and click open, and set a time in the settings to play it.

So basically you can use a clip from your movie, or create your own specail mpeg movie for the menu and use that.

I may get fancey and create a mpeg movie just for menus!
Overloaded_Studios presents.... and some fancy music and graphics

Very easy to set up motion menus! And it worked very well in my dvd player!
