  1. I am trying to back-up Final Destination 2 using DVD Shrink 3 Beta, I have first used DVD Decrypter.

I cannot get DVD Shrink to compress this movie enough to fit onto a DVD-R, I am wanting to keep all the language and extras.

Can I force DVD Shrink to compress even more?

Automatic compresion gets the movie down to 4,648 MB
Ratio will only allow me to go as low as 54%

    Thanks in advance.

  2. 1. Shrink twice
    or
    2. Use other tool (DVD2one,...)
    or
    3. Loose some extras

Thanks, the shrink twice option worked fine.

  5. I've had this problem with DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5 too (not sure about 2.3). Where I can not lower the percent shrink bar below a certain minimum (normally the automatic value) and as a result I still can't compress my DVD9 to fit on a single DVDR.

I think/hope it's a bug in the program (still beta). For 2.3 you can always drop the levels.

  6. Always use DVD Shrink v. 2.3 as DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5 is useless?

I compressed Lord of the Rings 2 onto 1 dvd-r. If I can compress that size movie, then you can compress that smaller movie you have

  7. DVD Shrink 3 beta5 had NO problem doing Fellowship of the ring and Two Towers for me. Both are 3hr movies!

It is NOT useless! I also have 2.3, but have only ever used it once or twice, then I was told about beta 5 and used it for all the rest. Both are great!

I have done several other movies with it also, none have had any problems not working, or any quality problems.

Exactly my thoughts also for beta5

I even did one DVD9 I that had over 8gigs for sure, it had both widescreen and full screen versions on the same disk. Beta 5 had no problems with that one either.

The only thing I normally change is that I will remove extra langauges I have no use for, like french or spanish. I don't speak them or understand them, so why take up space with them? I often remove them, but not always.
