How do i burn a movie onto a DVD-R NOT DVD+R

Hey, I tried to put a movie on a DVD-R, but when i pushed the burn button, it did not burn. I tired by using Nero 6. How do i put my movies onto a DVD-R?

Need more details here what do you mean it did not burn, did it simply not start burning, fail in the middle. Complete burning and there was nothing actually on the disk ?.

I feel compelled to ask, do you have a DVD burner?

You need 2 things first:
1. A burner that burns dvd-r
2. a dvd-r disc

When you pushed the burn button, did the tray open?
That was the wrong button

That was not very much info! "Hey it don't work" ?
