First of all, I hereby admit that I am a total newbie when it comes to this. I've only burned about 50 discs so far. Of those, 49 have worked flawlessly in my stand-alone DVD player (Panasonic RP56). One has not.

I've been using RecordNow Max to burn them as data discs. Although it doesn't have the option to specify a DVD movie, this has nonetheless clearly been sufficient. So the stubbornness of this one movie is perplexing. I know it is not encrypted any longer. The burn process is noted as having completed successfully. The files are there. Playing the VIDEO_TS directory from the harddrive with WinDVD works perfectly. But the DVDR simply cannot be played. I've burned it twice with RecordNow Max and once with Nero, with identical results.

Here is the complete list of files in the VIDEO_TS directory:

Perhaps there is something screwy with those files that I wouldn't know about, although WinDVD doesn't seem to have a problem with them.

If anyone can offer some insight as to why the DVD player wouldn't like one specific movie out of 50 while a software player plays it without any trouble, I would love to hear about it. Thanks!
