I am having a problem with numerous DiVX/XviD files which when I try to encode them with tmpegenc the output run time is double the expected time.
Tmpegenc version: v2.59.47.155
The DivX files are version 5.0.
What other info would be useful?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Open you divx in virtualdub, if you get a warning about VBR audio, thats your problem, Tmpgenc doesn't like it.
There are two possible solutions.
1) Convert the audio to uncompressed wav using virtualdub or Goldwave. Use this wav file as the audio source when you encode.
2) Use Tmpgenc's source range feature to tell it stop encoding at the appropriate time. -
Thank you very much I will try that this evening. I know one of the files gives me that exact error.
