  2. I think bad mpg file. Try demuxing it with tmpgenc and the mux it again. And try it again.
    Greatings,

  3. Simple Demultiplex/multiplex or the normal one? Whats the difference?

Thanks for the quick response tho.

  4. Tried both. The demultiplexing stops in TMPGENC about 200mb into a 700mb SVCD (17% in or so).

Any other ideas or is it just a bad file?

Anyway to tell if its a bad file before I go through all of this?

  5. I think you realy got a mpg file missing some bits and bytes. There a few things i can think of you can try:

    1. Run the file through the mpg version of virtualdub, check the tool section for the link.
    2. Reencoded it.
    Greatings,

  6. Cabt seem to load it into virtualdub either.

I get the error "MPEG IMPORT FILTER : pack synchronisation error"

Is there another version of VDUB or something that takes mpegs? Or is it the file again.

    Thanks for the help btw.

there is a version called virtualdub-mpeg-ac3. which will take mpegs.

  8. this seems to cover why some of my svcds won't convert nicely (as in the audio is awful) - i've just downloaded virtualdub-mpeg-ac3 - is there a guide anywhere which would show me how to clean up my svcd mpg?
