  5. Overprints don't just mean an orange label...

Overprints usually come about when a manufacturer prints the wrong label on a disc, or the printing process screws up and the disc doesn't come out right.

So as to avoid scrapping an entire batch of discs, they "overprint" them, to obliterate the mistake. They then sell them off at cost plus maybe 1 or 2 percent.

Some overprints look OK, some look like an explosion in a paint factory, and some are that vile orange colour.

The only downside I have seen with overprints is they've been double handled - expect to see some scratches, fingerprints or other such marks on the discs when you first get them.

Other than that, there is unlikely to be anything wrong with the discs apart from looking like someone vomited on them.

  6. yea they are exactly that printed wrong as the printing drops of the side of the disc
they are bright orange but they work well and they were cheap
btw ritek 4x unbranded only worked at 2x on my dru500ax
these ones write at 4x like they should the batches must be different
