  1. I'm using Easy CD Creator 6 (Roxio) and trying to burn some historic analog video to DVD.

Roxio offers the option of capturing as mpeg2 at 8Mb/s and that means I can't make a 2 hour DVD, yet there is no apparent way to reduce the bitrate. When I try to use a 3 or 4Mb/s mpeg2, captured with my ATI Radian 8500, Roxio signals disapproval of these capture rates without saying why and, in fact, I have pressed ahead anyway and made a 3.48Gb .iso (ready to burn) file, but Roxio refuses to burn it, saying there is not enough room on the disk.

I am running WIN2000 1 GHz P3 256Mb with a Panasonic LF D311 DVD-R burner which works fine for capturing DV as DVD using Roxio.
