When I try to import my mp2 audio file dvdlab will not accept it. It gives me the errors:

Cause: Bad header or unknown error
This file does not seem to be mpeg audio
check if it is not a wrongly named ac3

I used besweet wav to mp2 with the dvd template to make the mp2 and it plays fine in windows media player??????????????????????

you might want to try TMPG to make your mp2 - I have had no problems importing TMPG-created mp2 files into DVD Lab.

as for BeSweet, I've had no problems importing AC3 files from that prog into DVD Lab, but I've never tried importing a BeSweet-produced mp2...

  3. Yes, the general rule is to use AC3 audio, for some good reasons:

    1) DVDLab *likes* AC3 audio very very much (kind of important, since alone among these kinds of apps DVDLab won't reencode your stuff).

    2) AC3 is required as part of the NTSC DVD stanard (that or a PCM track) -- without it your disks are not guaranteed to play on some NTSC players.

    3) It produces better sound than mpeg (last is subjective, but IMHO).

I used the toolame with toolame gui to make my mp2s and DVDlab accepts these no problem. Is there an app that will analyze my mp2's to see what is right or wrong with them.
