what are the exact instructions for encoding avi to mpeg2 using tmpgenc? want to watch svcd's in my apex dvd. dont understand the instructions in tmpgenc. such as step #2 load the correct svcd template-how do i figure out which template to use on my avi file? step #3 under settings -what should they be at?

depends on your movie length... look under tools/calceletors. fill in length of movie, svcd and what cd-r type u use. The program will tell you what bitrate. In tmpgenc, press the load button and choose the svcd template, (ntsc or pal) then load the unlock template under extras. Then you can change the bitrate to the bitrate you got from the calcelator.
