Ok people, if this has been answered before my appologies.

Various AVI-> DVD conversions I've done all work perfectly in my PC, using PowerDVD to display. However when I lend them to my mates, quite a few, but not all, seem to freeze 1/2 or bomb out near the end.

Now I sure its not the media as some conversions are fine and I've tried different brands. (same problem) I checked the original AVIs for bad frames and corrected where necessary.

I do notice that playing back some DVDs in PowerDVD I cannot move the progress bar beyong the half way point, is this an indication of some problem? And whats the problem and cure?

Also what I do when converting the AVIs to MPG2 I usually join the AVIs into one file then use TMPENC to do the conversion. Perhaps I should do 2 separate conversions????

Peeps, I'm stumped and any help or suggestions would be grateful.
