I have two vob files that I've cut from two different DVDs using DVD Shrink. I am trying to put these two together on a DVD+R. I tried
TMPGenc DVD Author and DVD Lab but they didn't work.

1st vob file has AC-3 audio and 2nd vob file has LPCM audio.

I want to have a DVD with a menu pointing to these videos.

Appreciate if some body can guide me to acheive this.

    Thanks.

  2. The biggest issue that I can see is that the audio streams are not the same. In order to not have any pitfalls when authoring, it is best to have all your elementary streams of the same type. What I would do would be to take the LPCM audio stream and convert it to an AC3 stream with BeSweet or similar audio encoding program.

Also, make sure that the video is the same as well, check aspect ratio, resolution, make sure they are the same as well.

  3. I think I am right in saying that to use differnig audio formats like that, each 'movie' must be contained within its own title set. I havn't used TmpGenc DVD author myself but I am sure I have read that this is one of the few lower cost authoring apps that will produce multiple title sets. If it won't accept the vob files you already have, try demultiplexing them into elemantary streams using TmpGenc (encoder, not DVD author) mpeg tools.

  4. It is true that movies with different audio must go in separate VTSs.
DVDfab (ex. DVDtoolbox) should also be able to create a Video_ts.ifo for
multiple VOBs. Try it if TMPGenc DVD author doesn´t work.
