  1. My DVD player will play mp3's on CD's but it will not play them on DVD's. Is there a way to trick the DVD player to think it's a CD so it will kick into the file navigation mode? Or is there some other method that I can use to trick the player?

  2. No.When you insert a DVD in the player it uses another laser(different wavelength).
Very few players can play DVD-MP3 mostly one's made by Shinco(Apex,Mintek,Shinsonic,Cyberhome). You can use Ulead DVD PictureShow(or similar) to author a DVD with MP3.

This thread comes handy, as I was looking for a portable MP3 player with DVD-ISO reading capabilities.
Tried to search a little, but no clues.
Anyone knows about a portable that can read DVD's ??

PS: with "portable", I mean a device you can carry, for example when you're running, or so....

Wallmart has under $200 a portable DVD player by Initial that plays DVDs. Has a nice 5" screen, too.

Sorry, but I meant one of those "walkman" style. Not with screen, just like the old portable audio cd players. But with DVD-ISO support.

    Your water-mart guy...

  8. I think you have to wait a year or more for that! STill 99min cdr could hold ? 1000 songs in mp3 at good quality. Most dvd players wont play mp3 on dvd..yet
