  1. Hi just wondering if there is a faster way to convert a .avi from a miniDV tape to a .mpg2 for burning as dvd video.
    virtuadub doesnt support minidv avi's
    and both nero 5 and B's dvd takes 7hrs to author DV avi to a .VOB before burning to dvd-r.

    I use EditStudio from puremotion.com and their mpegXS pluggin encoder. It is the same as the main concept encoder, and you won't find many that are faster with high quality and small file sizes. Check the tools section, or click the link above to get there.

    Buy the meanest fastest mother of all computers, the absolute cutting edge machine to run it on. You know that machine that comes out in about 6-12 months with 4, 4Ghz processors and a Terra byte of ram
