  1. Your help will be most appreciated if someone could tell me how I can burn a Video Clip onto a DVD.

Here is a jpg of the video clips properties.

    I have installed:

    Nero Burning 6 and InstantCD+DVD

  3. You need to ensure that your video clip is an MPG and is DVD compatable. Re-encode it with TMPGEnc using the wizard. You only get DVD (mpeg2) encoding for 30 days, but mpeg1 encoding is free (mpeg1 can also be burnt to DVD - lower quality, but smaller file sizes)

Once encoded, you must author your DVD in order to create your VOBs, IFOs, and BUPs. TMPGEnc DVD Author is perfect for this, and has a 30 day trial version.

Once you have on your HD a VIDEO_TS folder containing your authored files, you need to burn it to a DVD in DVD Video mode, I find that CopyToDVD does a very good job of this.

  5. also...

if you do not want to waste a DVD, use TMPGEnc to encode to VCD compliant mpeg1, then use VCDEasy to burn mpeg1's to a (S)VCD (normal CDR) which will also play in good DVD players.

    Nero 5.5 also burns (S)VCDs

VCD is made up of mpeg1's, SVCD uses mpeg2's, but at a much lower bitrate than DVD.

  6. What would you recommend?

    SVCD or VCD?
