Corrupt DivX

I am having probs playing certain DivX files in DivX Alpha. At specific points in the file, the player stops with a "Run Time error". But, sometimes I can get the file to play in Winamp, but it 'hiccups' at the same point that Alpha crashes?
Could the files be corrupt? Or is this a common problem?

Try using DivFix to scan for corruption and re-build the index of your file. That may do the trick.
