i have some mpeg1 movies i've downloaded, they play just fine in qt. but toast will give that regular vcd error abou not liking it. so about 20% of the time i can just demux and re-mux the video and then toast will like it. when that doesn't work, 80% of the time i could use missingmpegtools, and use the vcdxgen and vcdxbuild to make a burnable file. but with these files none of these options work, so i was curious if there were any other options that i'm missing to try, with out having to re-encode these. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

use VCDGear and apply a MPEG2MPEG conversion. There is an option to make a "Toast" compatible mpeg file in there.

    This should work.

Lock has been unlocked after discussing with pants.
his movies are legit "free" for all downloads

but for those wondering, typically you will get this problem because you are downloading movies that are ILLEGAL!
so for those you get ZERO help - and a warning.

Per this..... all i can say is I usually do a mpeg to mpeg with VCDGEARX and that clears it up
if it doesnt still, it may just be you cant use this one, sorry.

pants, i looked at some of the things on the site, you could perhaps get something other than the format you have, and then convert that (ie divx) into mpeg.
then it would work most likely

    no problem.
Sometimes a round about way is the best. In this case I think this will fix your situation.
