I'm sorry, but using DVD shrink is the simplest tool on this site to use. The steps are VERY basic with doing either full disk or movie only. There is only so many ways to explain how to use a simple product.
Movie only:
1. put DVD into tray ****EDIT-close tray***
2. press button in upper left hand corner that looks like a disk
3. select the movie from the resulting pop up and press OK
4. After the analysis is done, click reauthor
5. expand the "movie" item on the first screen
6. click the title and drag it over to the new screen and drop it
7. remove unwanted audio and subtitle tracks
8. press button to begin backup
9. locate file location on hard drive or create a new one
10. click deep analysis
11. when screen says that it is complete, continue
12. open nero express
13. press the dvd-video button
14. add the resulting files
15. insert DVD-R or DVD+R into the dvd BURNING tray and close
16. click burn (looks like a flaming disc)
17. when screen says that burn was successful, press OK
18. take DVD out of tray
19. place in dvd player and watch
entire disk:
1. put DVD into tray ***EDIT-close tray***
2. press button in upper left hand corner that looks like a disk
3. select the movie from the resulting pop up and press OK
4. After the analysis is done, click backup
5. locate file location on hard drive or create a new one
6. click deep analysis
7. when screen says that it is complete, continue
8. open nero express
9. press the dvd-video button
10. add the resulting files
11. insert DVD-R or DVD+R into the dvd BURNING tray and close
12. click burn (looks like a flaming disc)
13. when screen says that burn was successful, press OK
14. take DVD out of tray
15. place in dvd player and watch
What guides have you looked at that you cannot understand -
It's easy when you know how isn't it? Not always when you are new to things. Does the same apply when you are shrinking a file that is on the hard drive?

Take out what you dont need and take out enough.
for me its different every movie.
first off i take out the non english audio and subtitles
if thats not enough i compress all the non movie stuff
if thats not enough i look at just doing the movie only
if thats not enough i cut out the beginning and end of the movie
if thats not enough well i try something else
been a trial an error thing for me
good luck -

Obviously this post amuses you all!!! I repeat, it is easy when you know how but not always obvious to a newbie.
I am trying to shrink a three files that I have on my hard drive. I have used TMPGenc DVD Author to get them to one file which worked fine.
There are no subtitle tracks and no obvious audio tracks to remove. I load the movie into dvd shrink, and the compression field comes up. All I wanted to know was what to do next.
If people can't be helpful they shouldn't post replies, it may be funny or even stupid to them but it just makes it frustrating for people who want to complete their project. -

ps. lose your attitude before your next post. You'll get a hell of a lot further than thinking that we are all here to serve you. It is a two street. Hopefully, if you stay with the board for any length of time, come back to this post and reread it. You'll see what I am talking about. -
What's funny is how people can get free tools that are less buggy and easier to use than most retail released tools, then have the audacity to freak out when people on a free site who give their advice for free take a jibe at their expense because they are too lazy to read any of the free websites with free guides or read any of the free forum posts on this site that will tell them exactly what they need to do.
