that it kinda sucked. I bust into laughter during the dance scene. What was that all about? There were a number of times that I started counting ceiling tiles out of bordem. I think for half the movie Morpheous spoke and the other half they tried to copy the first movie. Even during the numerous fight scenes I grew bored. Usually I love a good fight scene, but these seemed to lag on for hours on end. I found myself wanting them to end, as well as for the movie to end.....I just hope the Jason vs Freddy is better.

Thats too bad, frankly I thought it was awsome. The first part took a while to build up, but all in all it was exactly what I was expecting.

  3. I felt they overdid everything. For example...

    ****************
    Spoilers ahead
    ****************

[The scene where they were dancing in the cave] It was too long, it became repeatative and boring

[The battle on the top of the semi] How many times did Morpheus almost fall agian?

[Neo and Trinity making out] way to much emphisis on that for little gain

[multiple agent smith battle] I only need to see someone slammed agianst a wall once or twice to get the point.

  4. Hehe......I have mixed feelings about that movie.

To build on that Agent Smith fight...........Did anyone else notice that when Neo throws one of the agents into a group of them....it makes a bowling pin sound like he just got a strike.

I couldnt help but laugh at that part.........I mean that is a sound that happens in a bowling alley only........why would they throw this in.......so horrible.

Also I couldnt help but laugh that when Morpheus was giving his speech......My brother yells out in the theater........."I have a dream today".

Now Im not ripping on black people at all but it did kinda seem like it was a Martin Luther King speech...........hehe

Well I loved it personally and can't wait for the final installment.

As for the attention paid to the dance/sex sequence, and the other kissing between Neo and Trinity... Spoiler.

Obviously we don't know what happens but the symbolism seems to be laid on pretty thick. Neo probably impregnated Trinity, and their child will somehow end this cycle of "Reloading" the Matrix. The life growing in Trinity, and the future birth seemed incredibly apparant to me when Neo pulled the bullet out of her body. It cut to an ultrasound type of view as he reached into her pelvic region...seemed pretty obvious to me. Chances are if they seemed to focus on that one dance/sex scene so much, they probably did it for a reason, not just to be gratuitous.

Personally, I think that once the last movie clears up alot of questions from the first two movies, alot more people are going to change their minds about Reloaded.

I went into that one expecting it to be complete garbage, and even I was unprepared for the depths of crap it plumbed...

hooooooooo, baby. it sucks. take the suck factor of the rave scene in Matrix 2, purify it, concentrate it, manufacture 55 gallons of it and inject it all into one film, and it still wouldn't suck as bad as Freddy vs. Jason.

Although the remake of "The Haunting" is still my all-time worst film benchmark. I went to the manager and asked for my free passes back, it was so bad.

  12. yeah, reloaded was kinda gheyish.. but everyone said that about bttf2.. the dance scene was stupid.. and the music at the end when they did the pan to the guy on the table.. gah..

i was watching the dvd a few days ago, and during the agent smith fight when neo is tossing them around and beating the bejesus outta them they look kinda fake.. like animated.. now i understand that it was done with computer animation er whatever.. but the guys who did this are supposed to be the best of the best.. kinda dissapointing.. but overall, the movie was worth watching.. hopefully revolutions will be as good or better than the original.

I didn't like it too much at first, until I started thinking about it. Since it's a trilogy, the second movie will probably fit into the scheme of the three movies better than it can stand alone. Once the third movie comes out, a lot of people will probably be all "aaaaahhhhh."

There's a scene in the first movie, where they show the architect's office thing. Kind of cool, but it's easy to miss.

  15. I have only recently had chance to get to see both Matrix reloaded and T3, within a few days of each other.

Both movies had lots of hype and built up lots of expectations. I can't say I was overly impressed with either, but Reloaded was much better than T3.

  16. On the subject of T3 the bloke is a sodding terminator, thats what he does !!!

    T1 - 18 - Excellent

    T2 - 15 - Excellent

T3 - 12a - Crap, ye another excuse to cash in.

For you in the states the rating 12a means that anyone under the age of 12 can see it but must be accompanied by an adult.

I personally like BTTF2. I liked it almost as much as the first. I loved how he saw himself in the first movie, and had the added task of avoiding himself and keeping the guys just jumping....himself. I personally thought that 3 was the worst of the series, probablt because I don't like westerns.

During the Agent Smith royal rumble the people looked very fake. The guys over at http://www.cgtalk.com tore it up. The main reason they said it looks fake is because even while they fight, their clothes have no wrinkles.

Exactly. It's not like some other trilogies, such as the alien trilogy (who actually watched resurrection?) where it's three stories in the same theme, it's one story in three parts. Like LOTR for instance. If you didn't see fellowship, two towers would have sucked big time, especailyl given the abrupt ending. Reloaded is no different. Personally i think they would have been more commercially succesful if relaoded and revolutions had been released at the same time (which i think was the plan at one point....?)
Judgement has been reserveduntil revolutions is with us, although yes, Morpheus talked a LOT during the film

There is alot of speculation that in the first movie when Neo is caught by the Agents and the scene starts out on a video monitor then pans into the TV for the rest of the scene that the monitor in question was in fact the Arcitect (sp?) watching.

I think that was a security camera. Infact, don't you see the camera in the scene was well. If the architect was watching, he wouldn't need for a camera to be there.

Ok thanks. I figured it had to be somewhere in that scene but I didn't remember seeing a television or a camera. I guess this gives me another excuse to go back and watch the movie again.
