I am experiencing a problem when muxing an audio and video file together. I have created separate audio and video files exporting (link to AVISynth -> TMPEGEnc + TooLame) the movie (Work Area) from Premiere. The video file looks great, and the audio MPEG-1 Layer 2 file sounds fine, as do the original source AVI's. But for some reason, when I mux them together for SVCD, using TMPGEnc or bbMPEG, the result sounds like $#!+. The sound has crackle to it and seems to stutter. Has anyone else experienced this problem?? Does anyone have any suggestions??
Thanks,
Will

It sounds like they aren't being multiplexed at the right rate. What are you multiplexing with?
If you're using TMPGEnc to multiplex, be sure to choose the right mpeg profile! The generic MPEG-2 profile, for example, will produce stuttering audio. Make sure to use the "MPEG-2 Super Video CD" for SVCD. -
Unfortunately, that's what I did with either TMPGEnc or bbMPEG The other interesting thing is, that I have tried several different encoders for the video and audio streams all with about the same results. The video .mpv and audio .mp2 files all seem fine and whenever I go to mux them for SVCD with TMPGEnc and bbMPEG, the audio gets all screwed.
Thanks,
Will
