Slimline Portland pvd-1000? EDIT

Does anybody have any information on this player?
Slimline Portland pvd-1000
Target has it on sale for 35 bucks
I bought one just to check out and it plays dvd-r , vcds and mp3s
thats al I checked so far also the load times were all less than
5-7 seconds and it also has a display not like other cheap players
gonna head back to get a couple more for Christmas presents
would be nice if there is a region free/macrovision hack for it

Ok here some info I dug up
This Player is made in china either for or by Daewoo
even though I thought Daewoo was korean
There is no website in the manual or on the box
so I put the phone number provided in the manual in
google and it came up with Daewoo.
Daewoos website has no information on this player
what so ever.
I decided to try some of the hacks for the Daewoo machines
and the first one I tried WORKED
Daewoo DVG-5200S:
FIRST PRESS "SETUP"
THEN PRESS IN ORDER
"1"
"3"
"6"
"9"
"LEFT"
"LEFT"
"LEFT"
"RIGHT"
then a new button called version will appear as the 4th topic on your set up menu. use down arrow and select by pressing play. now you can set the region code "0" for code free or each region number by pressing
the right arrow key.
just exit to the main page and your selection will be set.
WORKED LIKE A CHARM

So Far it PLAYS ALL these that I tried
DVD-R/RW , CD-R/RW , MINI_DVD , PICTURE CD , VCD , SVCD ,
AUDIO CDS and MP3

Did NOT PLAY
straight MPEGS

BOTTOM LINE:
This is a great little Player for $34.98
