  1. 1. I made backup of my 007 collection (with movie only [ripping complete dvds]) to preserve movie quality
    2. I made a saved folder of all the special features (making of, spotlight,etc) and all the trailers and musice videos, etc. of each movie
    3. Is there any way I can use authoring software to:
    (A) Author a dvdr(s) of all (special stuff) from all the 007 movies; i.e.;
    "making of" and
    (B) Author a dvdr(s) of trailers and music videos?
    4. I did not see in any of the authoring guides where you can pick and choose vob sets to make a dvdr?
    5. Do I have to strip all of the vob sets to mp2 or is there a way to drag and drop vob sets, add a menu-author and burn?

  2. Actually, there is a guide:

    Also, DVD-Lab allows you to drag and drop vobs and re-author like you've mentioned in item 5.

    Here is another easy way to rip VOB File. I use DVD SHRINK 2.3 to rip them. With DVD SHRINK 2.3 you don't lost any quality and if the file is big, DVD SHRINK 2.3 let you to compress it (actualy 5% to 30% compresed is still DVD quality). Remember the Special Features, Trailers, Extra Materials, etc. are VOB file to, so you rip the same way you rip the VOB file movies. DVD SHRINK 2.3 let you to re-author the VOB file and preview them when you are working with them. Also is a FREE REGION and you don't need any tutorial to learn, is so easy . Here is the bad news, DVD SHRINK 2.3 let you to re-author the VOB file (movie only) not menus . If you want the movie with menu, you have to use some program like FLASH or something to do your own menu. To burn the VOB file use NERO 6, it work great with DVD SHRINK 2.3 and in case that you are looking for a DVD Player for PC use POWER DVD 6.

  4. Use dvdshrink to re-author only the bits you want. You can also shrink the filesizes here too if you wish. Reauthor each DVD to a separate directory.

    I then used TmpgENc DVD authoring tool to add the separate VOBs into one project.

    At this stage you can add your own menu (Although the Tmpgenc DVD authoring menu templates are crap)

    I re-authored American Pie 1 and 2 onto one DVD+R (needed max permissable compression ratio in DVDShrink). This method maintains the chapter settings so you don't have to re-add them yourself
