    I know a lot about mp3 quality but not much about mp2 & ac3 quality...

    I want to know with which mp3 bitrate ac3 @: 192 kbps is comparable
    And I want to know with which mp3 bitrate mp2 @: 224 kbps is comparable...

    My guess would be 128 kbps mp3 for both questions. Create the files and listen for yourself.
    Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
