Aspi Drivers

I hope I am in the right forum as my topic is related to Aspi drivers. I had no problems with aspi on my old system running winxp. I just built a new system with a P4 3.0 and 1 gig of PC3200 Ram. I have a Sony DVD burner. I installed aspi but the aspi I installed says it is for Win98 or win2000. Do those aspi drivers work under winxp? It shows me having aspi installed but the little sentence that says "aspi is installed and is fully operational" is grayed out and does not light up when I do a aspi check. I can rip from a dvd but I have had some problems that I have never had before. When I do an aspi check for 4 components it shows me having are versions 4.712 4.6 4.712 and 4.6. Is that ok? I am just concerned that the line saying that aspi is installed and working properly is grayed out. Thanks for any help.

Never had that problem before...the best I can suggest is download a differet driver. There are some in the tools section of this site...if you have nero, it has its own set.

ForceASPI works with WinXP.

uninstall the ones you've got loaded.

then d/l forceaspi (get it here or on doom9).

it installs v4.60 which works just fine under xp.
